2008 Taiwan cross cultural visit
This cross cultural exchange was indeed a fun and memorable experience for myself.
The trip was a uniquely unique jigsaw, waiting to be put together.
Given the 9 days in Taiwan, I believe the trip has challenged both my physical and mental capacity.
Physical- Given credit to the rigorous and mountainous terrain of the Formosa, the”550m Up Hill Climb” was the challenge of the trip. After a night of minimal rest and coupled with the countless staircase at Jiu Fen the first day of the climbling has drain our rocketed high energy build up be4 the trip. Think that it is the end of it? NO!! The second day’s evening cycling was another killer, and with the next few days of crawling and filming of the stairways to heaven, most were glad that Singapore is blessed with a flat terrain.
As for mental- Credit given to ”Taiwan version of Killer” and Bridge, brain cells and juice all dry and dead after the 9 days.
However, all this don’t really matter.. All that we know is that for every night that passed, it would meant one day less to enjoy the company..
The juiciest gossips that were spread, the endless food they fed us and the countless shopping nights were all the pieces to the jigsaw.. And of course the biggest piece of puzzle would be the friends that we have made and the countless jokes that were cracked
Last but not the least, through the trip, I have found also my family Taiwan. Xiao Fang who homestayed me, pei xian and ziyu treated us like her own siblings, love and care for us to the tiniest details.
A million of Hurray to the Trip, and i really look forward to the time when the Taiwan sister club’s visit..
We met as strangers, left as best friends
The laughters colours our trip and tears highlighted our departure
The next reunion may seem unclear, but hopes filled the hearts of all juniors
Seniors’ promises of two years, but is 2010 then the year??
How we wish we’re closer just like Causeway and Malaysia
How we wish we’re there just to be together for another million years!!
